Curtain opinions, pictures included
I need curtain help for my porch. It is extremely sunny, which I love, but it's difficult to watch TV or the computer at certain times of the day because of the glare. It can also get pretty hot. Here are a couple of pictures of the windows--any thoughts??

Well... shutters would look cute but they are really and have to be dusted all of the time.
Could you do shades/curtains with blackout liners? I had a family member who worked nights and they had their bedroom curtains lined with blackout material to keep the room nice and dark during the day.

I agree I think Roman Shades would look fab. How about red to match the pillows?

Thanks, ladies. The Roman shades look nice; I'll see how DH feels about them. Otherwise, I'm also thinking of adding valances? Maybe? I like the light coming in, just not so much, so I'm not sure about the blackout shades.

My parents use to have blinds where you could pull them up or they would pull down from the top so you can control the amount of light coming in & out. Also at night you could have the top part down & nobody would be able to see into your porch but you would still be able to have a nice breeze.

I think the Roman shades would look great! The valances would look nice too but wouldn't help too much with the sun....same with the shutters since they'd cover the bottom half of the window. But I do LOVE the look of them!
