Custom window treatment recs?
I just had someone from JC Penney here with tons of fabrics and designs to custom fit/design/whatever my kitchen windows. they had fabulous stuff but WHOA expensive even with the 20% discount we get with our ILs having been associates years ago.
Does anyone have any recs for other places that do custom work and are not an arm and a leg? i just want to do valances.

Re: Custom window treatment recs?
My parwnts got quotes from blinds to go for just blinds. They have 32 windows in the house, just the 1 st floor was over $5000 for BLINDS ONLY.
Maybe check etsy or someplace along those lines, maybe you can have somone make them if you send the fabric.

Re: Custom window treatment recs?
I was going to have them do blinds too but even the woman told me to do them myself and they were way overpriced.

Re: Custom window treatment recs?
I had valances made at Mill End Shops in East Islip.
I had a window seat cushion made at Casual Home & Garden on Rt 110 in Farmingdale.
Extremely happy with both places.
CH&G was more reasonably priced.

Oh, and got a quote for furniture reupholstery at Blinds and Beyond in Seaford.
Fabulous price! I'm sure they do custom window treatments too so I'm throwing them out there.

I got ours from Fabric Mill in Plainview Their customer service kinda sucks but their prices and quality are great.

I found this woman on Etsy and I used her. She was FANTASTIC although the turn around time was a little slow. The prices are so reasonable and the workmanship is perfect.
Kona Interiors
You should definitely have her price out what you are looking to do.

Re: Custom window treatment recs?
I just had my windows done by Blinds n All in Centereach/Selden. They did a great job and were reasonably priced. I had about 5 places come by, measure and give me a quote. Blinds n All were the only ones that showed up with several books of samples to choose from.
