I love the cake thing. You use food coloring to make the cake either pink or blue, but the icing is neutral so when you cut into the cake everyones see's the color and the sex is revealed.

Re: Cute ways to announce it's a boy/girl!
When I was PG with DS, I went for the level II sono and told my coworkers that I would wear pink if it was a girl or I'd wear blue if it was a boy.
That was a great plan, except that I forgot and wore green!!!

Re: Cute ways to announce it's a boy/girl!
For my co-workers I just wore pink, but for the family we had everyone over for coffee, dessert, etc. We got two extra large moving boxes from UHaul and taped them together to make a GIANT box that stood about 4 feet high and filled it with pink "It's a Girl" balloons. We also wrapped the box with baby wrapping paper so nobdoy could peak inside. Once everyone arrived and was dying of suspense, we opened the box and all the balloons flew out! It worked out really well and everyone loved it.
Have fun!!!!

Re: Cute ways to announce it's a boy/girl!
i wore pink to tell co-workers. to tell our parents we made up a "it's a girl" card and the rest were "?" cards. Each parent got an envelope (when both sets were together) and they opened them at the same time. We mixed them up so we didn't know who had the announcement card. The person who opened it got to announce it.
