Cute Ways To tell Parents That You are Expecting???

We bought my mom and dad baby bibs that say "I love Grandma/Grandpa" We wrapped them up in a cute littel gift bag. They were shocked!!!

We wrote my mom a poem with #1 and bought a shirt for Kiera that said I'm going to be a big sister with this pregnancy.

We just got married in July and my parent's and my IL's chose photos for their 8x10 from our wedding. So I framed the wedding pics for the parents. Our original plan had been for both sets of parents to come to our house and we'd have dinner out together. We'd hand them the photo's and I had photocopied our 12 weeks sono with a sheet of paper over it that said "Congratulations" and on the page with the sono pic it's said 'on your granchild due in May 2008'.
As I said that was our plan... my dad ended up ill (he's diabetic) and he couldn't come. So when he called to cancel DH and I on speaker phone said "congrats - your going to be a Grandpa". We followed through on the original plan with my IL's but it definitely lost something without my p's there. Oh well...

I got my father a cute frame and he thought it was from the dog...
We surprised inlaws with Super Bowl cup cakes with pink icing and it said "It's a Girl" they didn't know the sex at the time.

We told our parents with DD#1 on father's day. We gave both Dad's granpa cards witha picture of the sonogram. They loved it~

Thanks for all the cute ideas girls!! I'm so upset because I wanted to frame the sonogram picture and tell them on Mothers day but my first appointment is not until May 14  . I think it would be so cute to tell them on mothers day but I'm getting nervous that I should wait until after I go to the gyno the first time. Thoughts?

Maybe they will have cancelations. call everyday and double check. It would be so awesome to tell them on Mothers day. Think positive im sure everything will work out!! I think you should still tell them maybe get a frame that holds the sono pic.. and just put the estimated due date or something like that for now and then when the time comes you can switch it out with the sono pic

They originally gave me an appointment for May 7 which would have been perfect but then they said something about I wouldn't fall into the right "classification" at that time. Maybe they felt that it was early to go the week before I would not be far enough along??? I should have asked more questions.

they most likely told you that because before 7 or 8 weeks, some people don't see the HB on the sonogram. they probably didn't want to scare you!

We told my parents on Easter. I went to a fabulous bakery and had them write, "We're having a baby" on the cake. My family was so excited and crying!! And the cake was yummy!!
