Cutting the eye teeth... - UPDATED...
Did you find the cutting the eye teeth were worse for your DC than the molars were?
DS already has all 4 of his 12 month molars and just recently got his top 2 eye teeth. Now he is teething really hard on his bottom 2 eye teeth and is miserable. Just wondering if anyone else noticed that the eye teeth made a big impact on the mood of DC.
***Update***
As I was dropping DS off at daycare this morning, he opened his mouth and I saw one of his little eye teeth (canines) has broken through!
This definitely helps explain all the crankiness, not sleeping well that he has had in the last week! Now we just need the other little bugger to poke through!

Re: Cutting the eye teeth...
Definately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We got a week break after the eye teeth, but now he is shoving his hands all the way into the back of his mouth. So I think the 2 year molars might be bothering him. Thank goodness there are only 4 more teeth left to come in!

Re: Cutting the eye teeth...
Those damn things have been poking through since Halloweed, but still haven't come out yet!!
I don't think the back molars were an issue at all for him, but the eye teeth seem to be rough.

Re: Cutting the eye teeth...
We are going through this right now and it has been a nightmare. A lot of screaming and crying in pain. He is cranky and moody and overall it has been a nightmare, since last week.
I want my happy baby back!

I hear ya! DS has been sleeping terribly for the last few nights. He woke up at 6 this morning (normally he has been sleeping until 7:30) and he has only been napping for a half hour. So not only are his teeth bothering him, but he is TIRED too!!!

They are the ones in between the front 4 and the molars... they are the pointy ones!

Re: Cutting the eye teeth...
I think they are harder for them b/c they "cut" the whole time they are coming through because they only get wider as the teeth come in. With the other teeth they are the same width the whole way through.
DS was TERRIBLE why he cut his eye teeth, MUCH worse than any other teeth.

That's a really good point... I never thought of it that way.
Well then we are in for a world of hurt because they haven't even broken through yet!!!

Re: Cutting the eye teeth...
Yeah, totally All 4 of DD's fangs are coming in and they are taking their sweet time. I feel like when the other teeth were coming in as soon as you saw white they popped out real fast. These broke the skin weeks ago and have hardly moved since.

Re: Cutting the eye teeth...
His 1st year molar were bad but the canine are even worse. The top top our out now and the bottom 2 are trying to pierce. On Saturday out of the blue he started to cry in pain with big tears. That was heart breaking!

stupid question, but what are eye teeth?
I have no idea either
I am soooo lost in regards to what teeth they should get, where they are, etc
I thought the only ones they got were the 2-year molars, then they were done for a while

I think DS went out of order. The eye teeth are the pointy ones (I think someone called them the canines) that go in between the front 4 teeth and the molars. DS got all his front teeth, then his 12 month molars. So he is still missing his bottom 2 eye teeth and the 2 year molars... but he's not 2 yet!

Re: Cutting the eye teeth... - UPDATED...
WAAAAAAYYYYYYYY worse than molars.
My DS had all 4 coming in for about 2 1/2 months and he was so unhappy for a lot of that time. Add to the drooling and discomfort of teething the colds and bugs he picked up at daycare and it made for an awful mix! A child who normally slept through the night from 7:30 - 6:30 was waking up at least once, sometimes twice a night, even if I gave him Tylenol or Motrin before bed.
Once the first 2 broke through he was better, the third one came in and he was pretty much back to himself. We are still waiting for the 4th one to break through, but he's been pretty good lately.
