Cutting your own hair?
Does anyone here cut their own hair?
I dont want a style right now but my hair is soooo long and soo annoying. I am stuck in all day and I am thinking of taking a couple of inches off myself.
Is it hard? Any tips?? Should I not do it?? Anyone?

Re: Cutting your own hair?
You should never cut your own hair. It makes it way more difficult for the stylist to get a decent style the next time you go. Even with a mirror etc, it is damned near impossible to get it straight.

OMG - when I was 13 I tried cutting my bangs once - BIIIG mistake.... I think I tried cutting my hair again when I was 19. That was it - I learned my lesson again!

Re: Cutting your own hair?
I cut mine and loved it. I put it in a ponytail at my nape of neck, cut straight across. then section by section, I cut and followed my old layers.
just don't go too short, if you don't like it, then go get it cut, no money lost or harm done before after last week's self trim

Any tips Lisa?? LOL
try to do it evenly...lol
No really, like Janice said, if you are just trimming, try to follow the old lines and even them out
I used to work in a shop (did nails) and watched the hairdressers a lot
good luck!

I didn't cut my own, but i just had 8 inches cut off. I love it! So much easier to take care of.

Re: Cutting your own hair?
I only cut my bangs- and I mess them up every time. But I continue to do it because it seems like they grow over night and I can't take them.
