I tested yesterday with a CVS test and I got a BFN. I thought I might've been preggo from last month b/c I got AF 1 day late and it only lasted for 2 days. Since then, I've been feeling some strange symptoms. I wrote all about it on another post. So, I just wanted to make sure CVS tests were accurate. For this month, I am only 6 DPO. I plan on testing again on Christmas.

Re: CVS Brand HPT

I got the CVS brand when I thought I was cuz I wasn't sure, it was the middle of the afternoon, and they sell them in the 3 pack, soooooooo I figured if I got the BFN (due to there not being enuf hormone) I would still have 2 more tests...

Anywho... I got the test home, and I ripped open the package, sat down, POAS - BUT dummy me forgot to read the instructions, so I put the stick down, and lift up the instructions. Sheet says - could take a minute for results to appear (or so I remember).

By the time I read that, and then picked up the stick... a total 15 or 20 seconds had passed. When I picked up the test.... this is what I found!

I think if the sensitivity is low enough, you could get a bfp. I think First Response Early Response is the best - they are expensive, but work well. I got them at Rite Aid over the weekend, they were on sale, $12.99 for 3, normally they are around $18.

Re: CVS Brand HPT

I honestly believe there is no such thing as a bad HPT. Some girls have used the Dollar Tree ones & got BFP. I would buy the First Response ones though since they can detect much earlier & seem to be the most accurate...

Re: CVS Brand HPT

There are different hcg sensitivities in different tests, but honestly, if you had gotten pregnant your last cycle, any test would come up positive at any time of the day at this point.
If I were you I'd go to your dr. and get a blood test. Then you can know for sure.
