Cystoscopy with hidrodistention?
Anyone ever have this? I'm scheduled for Wednesday and I'm starting to freak out and want to cancel. I had a UTI in early June and had some pain for a period of maybe 3 weeks and they found blood in my urine, but I don't have pain any more and don't want an unnecessary procedure. I asked the nurse and she pooh-poohed me and said even though the CT scan was negative, there could still be something..
I have been reading about this and there are some people who have pain for weeks and weeks afterwards...
Does anyone have experience with this?
Thanks.

I don't have any experience with this. But if you are not comfortable having this done then don't do it. Maybe get a second opinion.

Re: Cystoscopy with hidrodistention?
I didn't have this done, but I had blood in my urine & no infection so I had a ct scan followed by a regular cystoscopy & it wasn't problem. No pain, just took a few minutes.
I'm not sure what factors makes them prescribe hydrodistension over the regular kind.
