Cysts and Positive HPT
My friend just got a BFP but claims she has to go to the MD to confirm the pregnancy b/c an ovarian cyst can give you a postive HPT too. I've never heard of this - have any of you? She's almost 2 wks late too. I say she's def. pg and not sure why she's questioning it.

Not true-the only thing that causes positive HPT is hcg which is only produced by an embryo. She is probably thinking of estrogen because cysts may produce that

ITA - I had cysts right after I found out I was pregnant, they were monitored but I was told they usually disappear on their own.
