cysts pain - updated

My dr found a cyst on each ovary - they've been there over 3 weeks now. I'm not taking anything for them.

The past day or two I've had really sharp pain in both sides - could this be them bursting? I also had a little brown spotting yesterday

--- Update ---
Well the cysts are still there - measuring abut an inch each. one grew, one stayed the same
My estradol went from 66 (week one) to 108 (week 2) to 218 today (do I get a prize?)
The Dr wants me to stop lupron, come back tomorrow and he might put me on BCP - I truly don;t understand what could change from today to tomorrow, especially since I took the Lupron today....any ideas?

He checked my files and I haven't had them for any prior visit with him (Dec, Feb & March) - just my luck - eh?

sounds like it to me. I've had cysts, and sometime the pain varies from sharp pains to excruciating.

Re: cysts pain

Maybe your doctor should do a sono to see if they are still there or to see if they changed in size.

Re: cysts pain - updated

Ugh....I hope they go down. I had some last month, a 3 inch one and 2 one inch ones. They did go down on their own and two burst and I did feel them, kinda like how you described. My estrogen went up to about 250 at their peak ( if Im remembering them correctly)...the one thing my RE just said to be on Monday was BCP only stops new ones from forming and "sometimes" keeps the ones you have from developing further, it doesnt make them decrease in size..that was interesting to me.

GOOD LUCK!

I HOPE THEY GO FAST!!!!

Re: cysts pain - updated

I asked my Dr. yesterday about cysts -- what they would do if I developed them when ready for IVF. He said if necessary they drain them, but rarely let a cyst get in the way of a cycle. Can your Dr. drain them maybe??
