Dad's Birthday today...
Today would have been my father's 80th birthday. He died about 6 months after turning 78. He and Mom were 5 years apart in age and often shared milestone birthdays together. We had a celebration for Mom's 75th and it was lovely but something was missing. We just had a 60th birthday for my cousin and again, he was missing from the celebration. It isn't getting easier. In fact since DH and I are TTC, the yearning I have for a child is more painful. I want our first to be named for my father as we I will be the only one of my siblings to have a child in the future. A good man deserves a named legacy. I just miss him a lot lately.
