I saw that on the show. Jon is really trying to show everyone why it makes no sense to pick on teachers and their "lavish" lifestyle... It's been a recurring theme lately, and it's very obvious how he thinks of the idea of blaming teachers for every bad thing that is happening to our economy.... 
Even though it's blatantly obvious that EVERYONE goes into teaching purely for the bling bling, the easy money, and the part-time job....
I honestly don't think you could pay me enough to be a teacher. I have a hard time dealing with kids for an hour at a time in karate, soccer and Cub Scouts... I give teachers tremendous respect....

Ohh...sorry if I was showing something that was shown a billion times...I only saw this and it tickled me...I appreciate your appreciating teachers, though! I didn't know it was a recurring theme for him....

No, it's a relatively recent recurring theme. Mainly because a lot of people seem to be blaming teachers for things over the last few months.
The Cribs bit specifically is the first (and probably only) time they'll air that on his show, so it's definitely worth posting the link here.
My sis is a teacher, so I have a pretty good idea of what a lot of teachers go through.

I  at this- and I have to say, the apartment the teacher had was quite nicer than mine, minus the bed when you walked in.
