Re: Dairy free BFing moms...
I went dairy free while BFing. It was tough at first, but then I got used to it. My ped thought DD had a milk protein allergy while she was getting BM and he told me to put her on one of they hypoallergenic formulas (not Nutramigen, but the other -- can't remember the name right now). Even when the stool test came back neg for blood he said to continue it. Luckily I kept pumping and freezing because when the pediatric GI doc said that she did NOT have a milk protein allergy I put her back on BM.

Re: Dairy free BFing moms...
I was dairy free for my 2nd born for the entire year I Bf'd and then when i was pregannt with my 3rd, I was off of all dairy from the 3rd trimester until my son was 6 months, so I really became a pro at the no-dairy-thing, FM if you need help, advice, support, there are many hidden ingredients that have milk protein so just because something says dairy-free dosn't mean it is void of a milk protein

Something very similar happened to me too. She was put on Alimentum briefly.

Yes eggs are fine. I pretty much lived on eggs the brief time I was dairy free. Thankfully she did not have an allergy because my cholesterol might have gone through the roof with all the eggs I was eating.
