Damask Bow Holder

I made this bow holder as a birthday present for a friend's DD who finally got her own bedroom. The walls of her room are pink, so hopefully it'll match. I also added cup hooks on the bottom so she can hang headbands and ponytail holders. I can't wait to see her face when she opens it!

ETA: I didn't make any of the bows/clips in the pictures above, but I'm planning on sticking some on the board as part of the present.

Great job! I made something similar for my baby on the way, only I put it in a frame. I do like how you added the hooks right to the bottom of the piece, I had planned on adding hooks to the bottom of the frame, but this looks better.

Can I ask what you used for the backing? I used cardboard, but wanted to change it out to something else. And now that I think about it, I don't think the hooks would hold to the cardboard? Not sure.

Thanks! I used a stretched canvas so that the hooks would already have a piece of wood to screw into in the back. (Michaels had a great sale on stretched canvas value packs last week). The hooks went into the wood pretty easily. No special tools needed!
