Damn you Allergy season....
My poor 2.5 yr old DS
HE has been miserable for a month now! We started a couple of weeks ago giving him claritin....but it wasnt helping..he itches his nose and eyes every other minute...until one day he woke up with such red puffy eyes I swore it was pink eye....AND it looked like he did two rounds in a boxing ring! 
Now he is on claritin and singular every day AND eye drops as needed!!  But his puffy eyes still remain...
I swear if Social Services saw him they would have sworn he was punched in the face -
WHY does it give him two black eye looks!!?!?!
Of all the things to inherit from his daddy! The two of them are a mess!
We are showering him and changing his sheets every day! I can't wait til this ends!
They say this is the worst Allergy season yet..I hope that is it after this and it ends as fast as it came in!

I could have written this word for word. James is suffering BIG time. His sitter just sent me a text that she is going to give him benadryl because his eyes are so itchy and puffy.
Going to call the doc to see what else we can do for him - How much Claritin do you give?

I'm with you  I actually just got off the phone with the allergist because nothing is giving him any relief. She assures me the trees should calm down in a week or so but it's heartbreaking in the meantime  I am starting him on shots as soon as I get the green light (they said maybe we could do it at 4.)
We're doing the same things you are and are going to start bathing midday (before nap) and hopefully it will help. We also all change our clothes when we come in to the house to lessen the pollen that comes in.

How much Claritin do you give?
1 tsp of claritin and 1 chewable singular
seems to keep it at bay ... for now!

yeah we are doing the same thing...
I think I am also going to get him a SHORT short hair cut...less places for the pollen and allergens to hang out! lol
