On thursdays we go sometimes to Fridays they have $3 apps and $3 drinks. We sit by the bar and just talk and enjoy each other for like $30 or less

my all-time favorite is to have the children leave!!
i'm such a home body. stay in, with a bottle of wine, a bad movie... this way we can make fun of the movie. if it's a good movie, you're both paying attention.

I love either Pasta Pasta or Pace's in Prt Jeff followed by walking around the port, hanging out by the water, and then going for dessert at Toast. At night Toast is usually so quiet and dimly lit........it's so romantic if you're able to get a little table off in the corner. Love it!

Rarely go out but a couple of my local favorites are Salumi, Snaps & Cara Mia Due.
Over the summer my parents took DS for a week, and DH and I drove up to Hicksville to get Indian food. It's something I haven't had really since I used to live in the city.
Also, prior to Sandy, we used to drive down to our favorite sushi spot from when we used to live in Long Beach. After eating, we walked the boardwalk then sat outside of Starbucks with coffee and dessert from there.
Haven't been there post-Sandy so I'm not even sure what's left anymore.
I'd definitely like to go back down there though once the season starts. I am sure they could use the support!

We've been recently buying deals on groupon and living social to try out new places. We did one in Astoria not that long ago for a place called Psari. Excellent seafood!

We usually go to Houlihans on 110 and sit at the bar and have a beer or 2 with a couple of apps before we go to a movie at 1 of the Farmingdale theaters.

Seriously! We're super excited if we get to drink a glass of wine and rent a movie.
If we were to go out, it would be to a good dinner. Prime, Kitchen A Bistro, Insignia, Tellers, Nonina, Aji 53. . . A restaurant that we can't go with kids! If it's a really good night, maybe drinks at the bar before or after. We're way overdue.
