Again, I wanted to say a big CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
I was also wondering if you could maybe post symptoms you had during the 2WW (if any) and also, what you did TTC-wise this cycle (if you feel comfortable doing that).
Thanks!!!

Re: davenjess
here's my post in that thread:
Well, to start, I got my BFP on Wednesday, October 1st 2008.
Some info on me: Dave & I had been trying for 6 months and had just started seeing an RE (due to a short LP and my age 33 ½). We came up with a ‘plan’ that was going to be kicked off on CD1 – but that day never came.
During the month of September, because I knew the RE appointment was coming, I didn’t temp or use OPK’s. We were seeing the RE right before ovulation was due, and I was told to expect a sonogram, so I knew they’d be able to tell me if I had ovulated or was going to, etc. At the time, I forgot to ask, but they said they saw follicles…so that’s good I guess. ? I went for cd21 bloodwork and was told my progesterone was low…
Symptoms – cramps…lots and lots of cramps. I didn’t have implantation spotting at all (I have recently described my toilet paper watching as CSI like – holding it up to the light, etc)…so I would’ve noticed the spotting. I did have some slight pangs of pain ‘down there’ at one point – but nothing that would’ve made me think anything other than, wow, that was odd…. I had EWCM in the days leading up to when AF should’ve shown up (but that was NORMAL for me every month) – so I thought nothing of it.
My cycle has been 26 days for 4 months and I got to CD28 before I tested. Some of you may remember, the last 3 months when I had tested, AF came the same day – so I have always been one NOT to test…since I never wanted AF to show. I was going to wait until Friday to test, but in talking to my ‘girls’….i tested Wednesday night.
I got a LIGHT line on the Dollar Tree test first and then had to go again and used a Walgreens test. Same thing – light line…. I told Dave when he got home from work and told him I’d feel better if I got a positive on a digital in the morning… He said – there are two in the box – do it now…what can it hurt. I told him that it may not come up pregnant now – since I had been drinking soda and etc….
I was wrong – within one minute of dipping my pee (I can’t poas, I pee in a cup) – I got the pregnant word and have since been VERY happy….
I called the RE and went in for bloodwork the next day. My numbers were ‘very good’ and I had to go for more bloodwork on Sunday (which is why I waited to come out on here).
The only symptoms I am currently experiencing are: cramps, breast pain (severe at times – NO POKING needed, they just HURT) and at some times, I’m not hungry at all and other times – I’m ravenous.
What we did this month: no temping, no opk, timed BD’ing based on CM only. I also have always put my legs up after BD’ing…I literally lay on my back with my legs in the air – facing the wall, so that my legs can rest on the wall. Also – I normally sit in the living room with the laptop directly on my lap. This month – for some reason, I decided to put a thick pillow between me and the laptop…who knows if that mattered – but I wanted to add it.
I was told I’m 4 weeks, 3 days along….
A couple questions that might help those of us who are still TTC!
1. What method did you use to TTC? In the months leading to the BFP - i used OPK's and temping. Also charted my CM and all other symptoms.
2. What was your BD schedule? We bd'd three times during my 'o' time. Twice one night and once the next - that's it. I guess we timed it right.
3. At how many dpo did you test? because of not using temps or opk's - i'm not sure. I was 2 days late.
4. Anything else that might have contributed? I have been taking Target prenatals since March. I also kept my legs in the air after BD - every time!
