Day care question
How far in advance did you have to make your day care arrangements? I have heard that there can be long waiting lists, but thought I would ask the BTDT moms.
Thanks!

Re: Day care question
I waited on the Kiddie Academy list for around 4mths, another daycare for 6mths - they just called to say they have an opening.

Re: Day care question
I only found long waiting lists at employee day cares (mainly because they are significantly less expensive).
I signed up for an employee day care center when I was 3 months pregnant. Joseph got in to the daycare when he was a year old - total time was: 1year & 5 months.
WHen he was an infant, I found a for-profit place (Kindercare) right after he was born. No wait time at all.

Re: Day care question
we signed up for Bella's daycare one week ahead of time (Dh was unexpectedly called back to work)
now, I think my place has a waiting list...I guess it depends.
