Day care rec East Islip area
In search of a day care beginning in September. I was very against putting a newborn in a day care and interviewed many nannys, but at 650 a week its just a bot much. I visited one day care today and I did not like it at all, so please share any day cares that you love. east islip, bay shore, islip, west islip and deer park area. TIA

I visited here, along with 3 other day cares , and it was by far the best. She is def more pricey than the others but I understand why. She is only about 100 less than a nanny we have interested. Would you still use her knowing that ? Are you that happy there?

That's interesting to know, because we actually pay less than the first daycare he attended for part-time. (I have a toddler though, so it might be different for infants).
My son comes home with such great projects. He comes home singing songs. They do fantastic activities with the kids (the farm came to visit, Santa came for Christmas, a clown visited for circus week, etc.) She gives them organic milk which is important to me. But knowing my son loves his teachers and is well taken care of is priceless.
A nanny wasn't on my radar, because we wanted him to have the "school" aspect and he gets that one on one time with his grandmothers during the week anyway.
Best of luck with your decision!
