daycare and Halloween question
Did your DC wear his/her costume when DC was an infant? DD is 7 months and costumes are welcomed but I'm afriad it will get so dirty and be uncomfortable. What did you do?

Re: daycare and Halloween question
This will be our first Halloween in daycare. Troy is older than your DS, but he will be going to daycare in a skeleton sweat suit and we're sending along his costume as they are having a "parade"
The costume is a pirate, so I'll ask them to keep the sweat pants on under the costume (since they're going outside).

Re: daycare and Halloween question
What is his costume?
Maybe a cute onesie or something he could be comfortable in?

Re: daycare and Halloween question
We always ask the parents to send in their costumes and we put them on when we have parties.

She is going to be a lamb. I do have a halloween t-shirt so I could send her in that. I don't think the infants are doing anything special so I guess she doesn't need a costume. I guess I'll just put her in her costume when we go to the parade in town.

Re: daycare and Halloween question
DD is going to wear hers. It's a ladybug costume that looks pretty comfortable. she'll be wearing a black onesie and tights underneath so they can take it off if it becomes cumbersome.

Re: daycare and Halloween question
Not a daycare mom but if I was I would probably do a Halloween outfit and not a costume.

Re: daycare and Halloween question
My daycare does a Halloween "parade" at 3:30pm. Last year, I sent DD to daycare in regular clothes and packed her costume for later. I left work and changed her into her costume before the parade and spent the rest of the afternoon with her and her little classmates.
I'll be doing the same this year.

Re: daycare and Halloween question
DS is not allowed to wear a costume to daycare. It's better that way I suppose because then it won't get dirty, he won't be uncomfortable all day and they don't have to try and get him in and out of it to change his diaper.
We did get a sweat set that is black with a skeleton on it. Comfy and Halloweeny. Last year he was 6 months old on Halloween and I sent him in a feety one-piece that has candy-corn all over it and his "My 1st Halloween" bib.

Re: daycare and Halloween question
DS was 5 months at daycare last Halloween and I just sent him in with a cute Halloween shirt and black pants. He just started solids and was very messy so I passed on dressing him up in his costume.
This year he has two costumes and the one he is not wearing to go trick-or-treating will go to daycare.

Re: daycare and Halloween question
DS is 2 years and his daycare asked that they come in with a costume and a change of clothing. I would assume being in a costume all day - esp during nap time would be bothersome. DS will wear a halloween shirt and pants under his costume.
