Daycare provider rave, but a little jealous
My dd has been going to an in-home licensed daycare provider for more than a year now. Since I am a teacher she was home all summer with me and everytime my providers name was mentined she wanted to go visit.
Now she started 5 days a week on Monday. I know she loves it there and I wouldn't want it any other way.
BUT
On monday she came home and pretended to call her provider on the phone to tell her she was home
And tonight she jumped up aand down before bed saying she was going to wear certain pants to my providers house tomorrow.
Now come on, I am starting to get a little jealous. I never thought she would be reluctant to come home and excited to go back again...I know I shouldn't complain but I am a little
Just a vent I guess.

Re: Daycare provider rave, but a little jealous
I myself am a licensed provider who has had similar things told to me ( heck , one of my little girls was crying for me at the top of a ski mountain when she fell coming off the lift )....Daycare providers are fun (or at least they should be!) Thats part of our job
But I will tell you first hand that when your DC's are with their provider, all day long we hear " But my mommy does it this way, or thats not how my daddy does that etc..." They have an unconditional love for their parents that cannot be replicated or replaced and knowing that your DD is so happy with her daycare provider just reinforces the fact that you are doing the best thing for her and have made the best decision regarding her care....Its only natural to feel the way you do though
