Daycare question-sort of personal

For the first year or so (maybe longer) my two sisters will essentially be my daycare while I work. I want to pay them but have no idea what is reasonable. Neither of them expect $ but I really want to pay them. I would not want to pay as much as daycare as part of the reason they are watching them is so we do not have to pay a ton for daycare. Wondering if anyone is willing to tell me how much their daycare is? I know it is personal so I understand if you do not want to. You can send me FM if it would be better. Thanks again!!!!

I don't use daycare but I believe it's around $1200 a month.

Re: Daycare question-sort of personal

My IL's watch DS, as well as my twin nieces. They would never think of taking $$$ from us. They also buy formula and food, diapers, clothes etc for ALL THREE. What we did was at Xmas, me, DH, his sister and her DH split the cost of a gift card to Liberty Travel so they can go on a trip of their choosing. Honestly this is nothing when you think about how freakin' much daycare costs. They were so touched though, my FIL got teary.

DH and I bought my parents a giftcard for a hotel chain they frequently use. It wasn't as much, but they come down once a month or so to help out as well.

DS is the only baby at his sitters house. We pay her $60 per day (8:30-5:30).
