Re: Daycare recs - NE Suffolk county
DS attended Stony Brook Child Care on the SUNY SB campus - even though I'm not affiliated with the University.
They didn't have webcams but it was a wonderful program and I am still sad that he doesn't go there (he's home with me now). I cannot say enough great things about them.
I can give you more info if you'd like...

Re: Daycare recs - NE Suffolk county
My DD went to Kindercare in Pt. Jeff. I can not say enough good things about them. I absolutely loved when she went there. They didn't have webcams but I never felt I needed it. One thing I really liked was when I went to see the place the director greeted me and everything then brought me to the infant room to meet the teacher and then the director walked away. I was impressed that I wasn't just being given the guided tour by the person trying to sell me on the place. I was able to actually talk to the teachers and get a feel for how they were and how they'd be with my baby. My husband used to pick up DD at different times of the afternoon and never saw anything suspect regardless of the fact that he sometimes went unannounced. My DD is home with me now, mainly because it was too expensive to have 2 in daycare. I often think about putting her back in there for preschool because I think they really have a great program. Check them out.

I've heard great things about the SUNY SB childcare and the Tutor Time in Stony Brook across from the Stony Brook movie theatre.

My girlfriends DD goes to Kiddie Academy. I want to say in Ronkonkoma and yes, they do have web cams. I'll FM you with info, if you want, once she gets to work today (we email each other every day to say "hi").

A brand new Kiddie Academy just opened in Nesconset/Smithtown. They have webcams.
