Daycare Recs Please! Wantagh, Bellmore, Merrick
We're moving to Wantagh around the end of July / beginning of August and I need to get child care set up for DS. I just called the well-touted Teacher's Pet but unfortunately they have no availability 
Some info:
DS will be ~ 18 mos when we move;
currently goes to a Tutor Time so he's used to daycare;
definitely a center, no in-home care;
ideally some place that allows for both full- and part-time since I'd love for him to go part-time for at least the 1st month after  is born but this is not a hard and fast requirement
Any help would be great!

The only person I know who uses daycare locally uses an in-home. It's in Wantagh south of Merrick if you change your mind and want the info.
I can't comment either way on it, but there is a daycare center right by the Bellmore train station. Rose something, I want to say Rose Garden.

My friend's son goes to the church on Wantagh Ave by Hemingways and she loves it. There is also a Tutor Time on 107...

I worked at Rose Garden in Bellmore years ago, when they first opened. They were good. My DS went to TLC in Merrick from Nov 06 until Dec 07 (from age 3 mos til almost 18 mos) when I was laid off and decided to stay home and waitress and go to school (sorry rambling) anyway I loved it there and so did ds. That's a lot considering I worked in daycares for about 10 yrs in my 20's. If you have specifics feel free to fm me. And they are one of the few places in the area that do part time. I am in the wantagh area too and have watched kids in my home in the past. Looking to get into it again. Again I LOVED TLC.

And so many close-by mommy friends, horray  I feel like I'm moving to the middle of nowhere, it's good to hear it's still civilized country
