DC calling you/DH by first name?
Is this just a phase? DD has started calling DH by his first name  He is getting so pizzed. I find it funny, but try not to laugh when she does it. He thinks I taught her to do it...which I didn't! Everytime she does it, I correct her and say "daddy". Any tips for getting this to stop?

I do not think it is anything for him to get "******" over...she is repeating things that she hears.....
My friend's daughter calls her "aunt janine" because that is what I call her when Mikayla is around "say hi to aunt janine, etc"
Janine just corrects her and says "i'm mommy"

I think it's funny. We don't make a big deal out of it. I think the more you make a big deal out of it the more she'll probably do it.

My boys were doing this for a while and now they oly all us by our first names when I call for my husband, they repeat me calling him.

Nate calls me "Steph" and DH "Mike or Michael" most of the time. It doesn't bother us bc he still calls us Mommy and Daddy.

mostly a phase, although DS calls me the nickname that DH and sister use for me.
DS only really uses it now, if we don't respond to "mom" or "dad"

DD stared doing this and I have to laugh because she calls him babe...she say here babe or bye babe. I guess i never call him b y his name I just call him babe

As difficult as my first name is, when DH is around, DS called me by my first name of "honey"  I do correct him by saying, I am mommy. When we are alone, he only calls me mommy. I remember my sisters kids doing this too. I think it is just a phase as it is what they hear others calling you (or in this case, DH)

DD does this once in awhile..I just dont make a big deal of it and correct her with "I am Mommy" LOL..its sorta cute though.

DD does this occasionally. When I'm around my mother she calls me by my first name because she hears my mother call me. When DH is around she has called me "babe" and lately she has referred to both DH and I as "sweetie" because we call her that. I think it's cute but I do correct her if she says it more than once.
