DC taking off their socks and shoes...suggestions on how to stop them?
DD is always taking off her socks and shoes, even when out and in the car.
I cant imagine any but are there any tips to stop this? Suggestions? It's freezing out for no socks or shoes!
Anyone else's DC do this?

I put her socks on under stretchy pants and I have a TON of baby leg warmers I put on so that the bottom comes over her heal and mid way out to the foot and her socks stay on now!!!
Plus it looks SUPER cute!

My DC usually wear high-top converse sneakers with laces and can't get them off.

I felt like the Robeez are harder to take off - are you using those?

Re: DC taking off their socks and shoes...suggestions on how to stop them?
we knot the laces of his shoes when we are out... when we are in the house he is barefoot... i have given up on socks then and to be honest they say for walking it is better to be barefoot...
i do have to say i didnt put shoes on him in the mall the otherday because i was getting him measured and he then pulled his socks off... i was wating to find a bench to sit on to put them back on since i am hugely preggo and some lady stopped and yelled at me for having my child out barefoot... MIND YOU I had the socks in my hand at the time...

My DS does this too, usually as soon as he gets home from daycare...followed closely by his pants...

Staple Gun.
Just kidding! Mine are still doing this at age 4, nothing I did to stop it helped. Good Luck!

Re: DC taking off their socks and shoes...suggestions on how to stop them?
Sorry but my 2 year old STILL does it in the car all the time on rides.
When she was under 1 I would put her in stockings all the time - even under pants - it was an extra layer of warmth - but she couldn't pull them off so at least her feet were always covered.

NO, I may try these out. I mainly use pedipeds b/c of DDs chunky foot. But those she doesn't get off too easily, it's the Nikes I bought her.
Thanks for the suggestion!

Good suggestion, I will try this.
Also Blissful, I am going to try your suggestion too about the leg warmers.
And Sweettooth, I will look at some high tops if I can find them.
Thanks everyone!!!

My cousin had 3 boys in 3 years so she got so fed up of the never ending trail of shoes and socks... she started putting black TIGHTS on all 3 of 'em for the cold weather

Staple Gun.
this weekend we were out in Central Park and DD insisted on taking off her boots and socks (and throwing them ) People kept telling me she was barefoot and I got to the point where I was saying "I can't staple them onto her feet so what else would you suggest??"
Sorry, I'm of no help to the OP.
