DC with eczema and are on whole milk
DS has always had mild eczema, a just a few small patches on his thighs. I noticed that that when we went to whole milk about a month ago it spread to his back and one patch on each arm. The ped. prescribed me a topical cream to put on until it goes away but I forgot to ask if their is any correlation between eczema and whole milk.

my ped never said anything about there being a correlation - I would think it is just a coincidence.

Eczema can be a sign of an allergy. My DS is allergic to milk. He had really bad eczema when I was nursing him and had milk in my diet. Once I stopped eating dairy his eczema got much better. What kind of formula were you giving him?

He was on Enfamil A.R. which is milk based. I bf for the first 6 weeks then he was on soy for about 6 weeks and I switched to the A.R. My old ped thought he might have a milk allergy so that is why she put him on soy and also because I had a dairy allergy until I was a toddler. I think he was just fussy because he switched to formula. But once he went to whole milk I did noticed a difference.
