DD is STILL standing up in crib at night crying....
four nights in a row now. I let her cry for about an hour and then put her in the stroller where she sleeps the rest of the night in her room just fine. I do not want to get in the routine of her sleeping in the stroller, but I was thinking that at least she is in her room without us and sleeping well. I am going to try again tonight with the whole laying her back down routine, but I am so confused about what else to do. Any ideas? Thanks so much!

Its all about repetition - you have to stick to one thing and keep doing it.
How old is she? eta - I just saw in your profile -
I would definetly stick with one thing - you just have to put her in her crib and keep laying her back down.
My DD used to do this as well - eventually I got tired of battling with her and would let her cry it out.- which in turn would wake DS and then they would both be up crying!
But eventually, they get the idea.

eight months... She just learned to stand up, and hasnt quite mastered sitting yet. So I thought that was the problem. Even when I was eventually getting her to sleep there she was up hollering and screaming 45 minutes later!

Re: DD is STILL standing up in crib at night crying....
DS went through something similar when he started pulling himself up. It's like he was so excited that he could do it that he just couldn't help himself -- as soon as he hit that crib he had to pop back up. It was a trying week or so, but eventually he grew out of it. I don't do CIO, so I would just lay him back down and rub him over and over until he finally let go and went to sleep. I won't lie -- it was a big pain, but he got past it. She will, too. Good luck!
