DD weaned herself from BF this week
I can hardly believe it. DD looooves BF. She'll be 1 on Monday and I only BF her before bed. She's on whole milk the rest of the day now. Every night this week she has pushed me away when I try to BF her. I even tried during the day & she refused. Maybe it's the teething?? I was going to wean her in a few weeks anyway, so this worked out perfectly! I thought she would be so upset when I didn't BF her anymore. And luckily my boobs are perfectly fine- no pain at all.
After all the trouble I had starting BF when she was born, I'm so grateful that the weaning process went so smoothly! And, I must say that I am very proud of myself for sticking with it for the whole year. It's nice to have my body back to myself (and DH  ) after all this time!

Congratulations! I wish my 17mth old would wean soon...she seems to be getting more attached to them the older the gets. I envy your easy weaning process
