Dear Building Managers

Is it really necessary to test the fire alarm every day

You let it go off - people start to wonder, then you come on and say false alarm - or "this is only a test"

keep this up and when there is a real fire, no one will pay attention.

ughhh..we had this all morning yesterday.

They announce that it "is only a test" no joke, fifty million times and people in my office still freak out and think they should evacuate Chat Icon Chat Icon

We still have honest to God fire drills. no annoucement beforehand, teh thing goes off and you have to get outside.

Don't you work in the same building as me? 505 8th.

Is the PA system in your office set at volume 100 also?Chat Icon

I know the testing is helpful but it freaks me out, I worked across the street from the WTC & had to evacute on 9/11.

Two people died in my building in the elevator. It brings back really scary memories.Chat Icon
