Dear DH...
We've been at this for a while now. Almost 20 months to be exact.
So I don't think it's too much to ask that you learn some of the lingo and timing. I don't expect you to read the books or research on the web like I do, but I would love if you would pay a little attention to what I tell you.
Because today, when I said I'm almost through with the 2 week wait and you said "What's that?" I seriously thought about smothering you with your pillow. But you are heavy and it would be difficult to dispose of the body.

Are you sure we aren't married to the same man? I truly think if it involved their body, they would know all of the termanology. However, since it does not directly affect their body, then they are ignorant....don't feel bad, I have learned to just accept it......

Men! I seem to explain over and over. Maybe, one day he will get it.
My Dh had an eyeopener at our last appointment with our RE. They explained the whole IVF process and he couldnt believe what is all involved in order to get PG.

Don't feel bad. I am almost embarrassed to admit this but my DH did not realize that women had two uhhhh holes. The uretha and the Vajajay. I said umm hon did you ever take health? This is a very intelligent man with an engineering degree and he also has had lots of experience with women. Sorry to hijack it just made me think of that

My DH is the same way. He still calls AF my "friend".  I said "what are we, like 12 yrs old??" Call it what it is...
I'm sorry he's not up with all the lingo. It's frustrating to say the least. But honestly, I had to  when you said his body is too heavy to dispose of.

I know he's been listening....so far. If I asked him to spit it all back out to me, he couldn't, but I know in the moment we have conversations, he gets it. And I have to admit, I'm guilty of that too. When my mom describes her doctores visits, I tune her out until I hear "good" or "bad" (also cause she has a tendency to make a stoyr 3 hours long).
That whole 2 hole thing--most men don't seem to realize that. What's even scarier...I know women who didn't know!

Just to let you know, that for the longest time I thought my dh was tuning me out with all of this, but then yesterday he asked me what is today? I looked at him like he had 4 heads, he meant what cycle day was yesterday. He said he knows I always ovulate on day 14 and he was trying to figure out what day the insemination was probably going to be.
