Dear LI Prospective Employer

Why does 20 years of work experience in Manhattan make you shy away from me? I understand I am taking a significant pay cut, but I know that, I want to be close to home and don't want my daughter in daycare for 12 hours a day. I hesitate to tell you too much about my personal life for fear that you will not hire me. What do I have to do to get a job???

Thanks needed to get that out

Re: Dear LI Prospective Employer

I could have written your post word for word. I have had employers basically tell me that no matter what I say, they feel that I won't be happy and I will leave. I've had to start telling employers detailed reasons for my wanting to take a pay cut.
