It minimizes all of the windows so that all you see is your desktop.

Alt+Tab works very well too...
Keep your spread sheet open and minimized... then at the appropriate moment - Alt+Tab

I always keep Outlook or a spreadsheet open behind LIF, then when the boss or someone enters I'll quickly minimize. To complete the facade, I make sure to have some important paperwork sitting in front of me as well!!

i already open up Word and type there when i know i am going to have a LONG post and then C&P it back into LIW and LIF

For my company, the URL name has to be changed. maybe get rid of the chat and make it something to do with engineering so they won't know I am on here. Something like www.idoengineeringworkatwork.com

Try Alt + Tab...that changes the screen to another open screen of your choice.
