Even as I die hard Yankees fan I feel bad for the Mets and their fans...I even told DH (who loves the Mets) that I was sorry about what happened to his team.

Maybe they just got tired or maybe the pressure just got to them.
If I see Heilman, Mota or Schoenweiss next year then I will not watch any games. Those 3 stooges cost us the season. I blame it all on them.

I couldn't have said it better myself.
If you'd have told me back in April/May that the Yankees would be going to the playoffs this year and the Mets wouldn't, I'd have thought you were crazy.
It's a damn shame.
