Dear MLSLI.com / Realtors:

Dear MLSLI.com / Realtors,

Here's some helpful advice from us to you.

PEOPLE WANT PICTURES! The more, the better. If you don't put pictures up, we're going to have to assume there's something you don't want us to see. And we pass the listing by!

And pictures of only the outside of the house aren't very helpful either!

Thanks.

....LADIES, feel free to keep it going.... Anything you want to add??

Re: Dear MLSLI.com / Realtors:

true true, and I really REALLY wish the entire real estate industry would stop using these terms for condition:
good-horrible
great-pretty bad
mint-decent
mint+-now we are liveable

Call them what they are. I know its better for advertising to use these terms, but how sad is it that something in good condition is code for horrible condition

LOL - who do they think they are fooling???

can you please stop telling me how much interest you have. its an open house and no one else is here. you have no interest in your overpriced bungalow.

Re: Dear MLSLI.com / Realtors:

in addition to scott's points -

if people are home - ask them to move OUT of the way. I do not want to see some lady - i want to see what the house looks like.

and why would you take a pic of the inside of a yucky toilet???

Re: Dear MLSLI.com / Realtors:

Oh and if the house is sold - take it off the site. Dont make it a way for you to get me interested in any of your other homes. If I wanted to see any of your other homes, I would of contacted you about them in the first place

Re: Dear MLSLI.com / Realtors:

also in regard to pictures: do a little cleaning before you take them. I really am not interested in seeing a child's toys all over the floor or piles of paper all over the dining room table.

and list how many bedrooms the house actually has. no 3/4 bs - either it has 3 or 4, how can it be both?

A bathroom AND a kitchen photo should be REQUIRED.

Stop it with the '+' signs next to the condition of the house - they are meaningless.

Oh and could ya please make it possible to search by year built?

Chat Icon That's cause it's a new construction but I agree...half the time the houses are already built but they don't update the pics.

Re: Dear MLSLI.com / Realtors:

I saw one for a house that was almost 100 years old... And the house picture was nicer than the drawing! I don't get that either.

But yea, if the house isn't built yet, a floor plan at least would be nice. Chat Icon

And I wish there was a way to follow up for the price the house actually sold for! That would be helpful! Chat Icon

I would also like to know how long the house has been on the market. I know you can guess-timate by the mls number, but a date would be nice.

spinoff to this -

please dont decrease the listing price by $1,000 every day so it looks like its a new listing- but its not. you are not fooling anyone. how about lowering your price by $20k - that will get people interested.

when searching on mlsli, you can sort by listing date. the new one's come up first. so you know when you get to the bottom of the list, those houses have been sitting for a looooooong time.

Re: Dear MLSLI.com / Realtors:

All of these, and please ask your sellers to reveal that they have a rental unit (probably illegal), and a sleeping tenant in the bed! We looked at one place, the owner was home (our realtor didn't know about this, she was showing us another realtors house), we went to the basement to find an apartment with someone sleeping in the bedroom.

And I agree about useless photos--don't show me pics of your child's artwork or the swag hanging over a window. No one cares about these things!
