Dear neighbor
I think you're a foul inconsiderate POS. Why do you need to run your RACECAR in the driveway? not only does it shake the house and make incredible noise but the fumes find their way into the house and give me asthma attacks. Racing is for the track. Oh yeah..F U!

Re: Dear neighbor
OMG - my husband is into racecars (been building them and going to Riverhead for the last 13 years) and I know how loud these things are. He has never, however, had one of these monstrosities in my driveway. This neighbor gives white trash a bad name. If he continues to do this, call the police. Even though it is during the day that he does this, the decible level and noise creates a nuisance and he can be ticketed for it. Some people.......

Re: Dear neighbor
The cops siad they can't do anything.
He is ALWYAS running them on the driveway or in the garage..we have a party driveway, soo...
ETA: He's been doing this EVERY summer for as long as I can remember. I have just completely lost all tolerance for it, because I've been having a very bad year with my asthma and I'm just getting over walking penumonia, etc

Re: Dear neighbor
Then I would go above the local police and call a councilman or legislator and, if necessary even higher. There is such a thing as "quality of life" and everyone is entitled to live it.

Re: Dear neighbor
Really? The police can't do anything? That stinks. Out here its pretty serious.......it would go under noise or nuisance abatement. Even though its during the day....the decibel level is a nuisance...and its also considered "noise pollution".
What an inconsiderate ******* !!(fill in what you want ) I'm sorry you have to put up with him!!! I'll send his car dead battery vibes

Re: Dear neighbor
I told the cops it's not street legal, and there's a reason for that, you know, but since it's on the driveway, not the street, they can't do anything, and since it's normal hours they said they still can't do anything.

Re: Dear neighbor
If it's causing you health problems, then a strongly worded attorney letter could help. Maybe threaten lawsuit?
Maybe one of our fellow LIF attorneys could help?
...anyone?
