Dear New Car Owner.....
Dear Spankin' New Car Owner,
Ok, maybe we're all gulty of it, but this A.M when I was on my way to work and got stuck behind you...I wanted to pull my hair out. You have dealer plates & obviosuly driving a brand new car. Well, that's nice...but why are you driving 15 miles an hour( I was right behind you & that's what my odometer said)???????????????????? Dealer Plates + NEW CAR DO NOT....I repeat do not equal drive like a SNAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have to break it in sometime....so put the petal to the metal and move on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Signed, 5 Minutes Late To Work
vent over...carry on!

Re: Dear New Car Owner.....
what kind of car was it. It's the worst when it's a really nice new car that you know is meant for speed. That annoys me the most!

Re: Dear New Car Owner.....
it was probably someone from the dealership bringing it to another one
like if you want blue- and they only have in it NJ- some times they send someone to pick it up for you-
you wouldn't leave the dealership with dealer plates- you either get real one or that paper in the window

Re: Dear New Car Owner.....
It also might have been someone test-driving the car, and they were looking at all of the pretty lights and buttons in the car.... no excuse, just a possible explanation.

so then do you have to go back? you don't keep the dealer plates right?
maybe they didn't have insurance yet?
I still find this odd- they don't check to make sure you have insurance?

They mail you the plates or the dealer calls you to let you know they are in, since I'm now a Virginian...we trust everyone!

Maybe I'm the only one. I baby my car when it's new. My car is only 3 months old and I cringe when thinking about driving it over 60. I did hear that you should wait before you "break it in", meaning no excessive speeding for the first miles.
