Dear Noah's Grandparents...
I just wanted to write this letter to tell you that the reason Noah is crying when I am on the phone talking to you is that HE WANTS THE PHONE. He wants it. He wants to push the buttons, hear the beeps, look at the red light and most of all...he wants to press that big button with the RED PHONE on it. Thats his very favorite button. When you call, your singing won't make him stop crying, neither will your coo'ing, your talking, your shrieking, or come to think of it...the very fact that you are on the phone. He is going to cry UNTIL I GIVE HIM THE PHONE or turn on baby TV...whichever comes first.
So please don't respond when I say that he is crying because he wants the phone by saying "So give him the phone" because I will...and he will hang up on you. The same goes for when I tell you that he likes to climb the stairs, please don't say "So let him climb the stairs" Because iffen I do...his head ain't made of stainless steel like my kitchen appliances, no, its made of BRAINS and BLOOD and HAIR and PAIN. All of which will be evident when he falls down the stairs backwards and cracks his head open like a honeydew.
This goes for you Long Island Grandma and for you England Grandma.
Right. I have a sinus infection and its making me think slightly funny.

She never says "well give it to him" (re: the phone)BUT she just cant possibly understand that would be the reason he is crying...

I say next time just give baby the phone. When he "hangs up" on the grandparent...I guess they'll figure out you were right!
