Dear Woman on the train to Montauk today
Dear Woman on the train to Montauk today:
I am wondering if your eyes actually rolled out of your head yet? You certainly came close today while on the train with us. Yes, I know that my DS was playing with his train and cars making "choo choo" noises, but he was also sitting nicely in his stroller and just making happy child noises.
I'm sorry that we ended up being on the same train as you, but, to be honest, I think it was quite rude that you kept looking at us and rolling your eyes and slamming your suitcase.
I hope you enjoy the LOVELY weather today
Signed- The mom with the "choo chooing" toddler.
-----
Obviously, I don't expect people to enjoy my child, but c'mon! It is a public train! And he was totally well behaved. It just made me mad b/c I felt like she was so judgmental that I actually gave him his pacifer so he would be quieter

Re: Dear Woman on the train to Montauk today
what an azz! Some people should just crawl into a hole.
Declan has taken to screeching to hear the sound of his voice. We went to get sushi around 3PM the other day and he was doing it and my DH said ugh we are the people I used to hate. I said well at least he's making happy noises-thats not annoying its cute!

Re: Dear Woman on the train to Montauk today
I don't get how people are like this. And its not just because I have a baby now, when I didn't have kids I didn't hate kids, especially to make the mom feel uncomfortable. I can understand when people get frustrated with screaming babies, but being good? I just don't get how people are seriously this awful.

OK--I love the expression "miso" and am totally stealing it
You know, I didn't even THINK of her moving, and I was sitting in the car with the handicapped seat so I purposely wouldn't have to get him out of his stroller too!

Re: Dear Woman on the train to Montauk today
I honestly can't stand ppl like that, my DD is normally a very happy baby, and sometimes at restaurants, as mommyagain can attest to we have idiots that automatically think "baby oh no" ppl are just miserable and honestly if they can't enjoy children then I honestly feel sorry for them!!! KEEP ON CHOO CHOOING...
