Is any body else in total shock that Anna NIchole Smith is dead!!!!!!! I really can't believe it!!!!!!!!

Yes, and I also posted how her death reminded me of Marilyn Monroe. Both blonde...drugs(????)...both died in hotel rooms.......

I think it's insulting to Marylin to compare the 2.  I am very sad that Anna Nicole died, but she was a nobody in comparison to MM. JMHO

I agree with the others, it's sad that she passed and that her life was so tragic at times but she is no Marilyn Monroe. Not even by a far stretch of the imagination.

Its hard to make a comparison of two women that lived at totally different times. I am sure that people back then though of Marylin in the same way (gold digging whore). She had affairs with so many famous and wealthy men.

And I can't say that I'm shocked by Anna Nicole's death either. Sad but true.

I agree with this. I remember my mom telling me about Marilyn Monroe when I was little, after I asked who she was. I don't remember what she said exactly but I do remember the words "bimbo" and "no talent" being used...

Well, when we had the discussion on here about what defines whore, everyone said having sex for money. Though she did not have sex with her husband, she admitted to showing him her naked body to please him at a time when he could no longer perform. How could anyone disagree that she married a nearly 90 year old man just for money? Doesn't that make her a whore? Marilyn Monroe did date famous, wealthy men, but she was in movies before meeting the men, and I would argue that she didn't need their money since she was wealthy on her own.
Anna Nicole would not be known without the situation with her dead ex. Playboy models and strippers come and go...Very rarely are they recognized names.

I would really love to know why Marilyn Monroe is being idolized.
What made her so special that Anna Nicole couldn't compare?
How can anyone dictate why Anna Nicole married Marshall, did you know her personally? We only see what we see on TV and hear on the news.
While I cannot say that she married him for love, don't MANY other everyday people do the same? Especially where we live?
As far as comparison to Marilyn Monroe, I am not sure what MM contributed to the society besides her looks.....
