Re: Deborah Lippmann nail polish
Honestly I am obsessed with Hard Rock. It is worth the price tag. I use it as a base and top coat.
My nails are the worst. I could literally paint my nails before bed and wake up with chips. This stuff makes my mani's last for days. That and I stay far away from Essie and OPI. I used the Hard Rock with zoya for the best results.
I can't speak to the colors. I had a glitter polish once and it was bad. The glitter was thick and it looked awful. So I would steer clear of the glitter.

Never heard of or used Deborah Lippmann but I must second the OPI and Essie comment. They both stink. Essie stinks worse than OPI in terms of chipping in a day, but OPI is close behind and generally peels off my nails in one big piece. I will look down and see one nail is unpolished, oh the polish peeled off and came off in one big piece!
Zoya is really the only good one for me.

Too funny, I was asking this question because Essie and OPI are most of my collection. I had wraps in acrylic, silk and gel for many years and I liked to bring my own polish to the salons so I have a lot of bottles. Essie and OPI go on the wraps well but I remember from the past, they don't do well with natural nails. I agree with you on that. I may go back to having nail wraps so I will probably buy some colors that are not similar to the Essie and OPI that I already have. I may also try the DL nail hardener to see if the keeps me away from getting wraps again. I like Chanel Polish also but I have usually found close enough knockoffs from Essie. Deborah Lippmann bottles are about $18 and Chanel are about $32, so if Deborah Lippmann is good I will try that first.

Re: Deborah Lippmann nail polish
I just looked at a department store site and Chanel Polish is $26. I remember it being $32. Did price go down or was it maybe a specialty or limited edition color? ETA: still more interested in Deborah Lippmann bc it is new to me.

Re: Deborah Lippmann nail polish
Coming back on to say that I went to blooms yesterday to get a new bottle of the hard rock. They were out but, I got a DL polish. Not the chunk glitter. It's smaller and it is SO So pretty. I am about at 24 hour mark with no chips
The reason I love the Hard Rock so much is that it is that it is hardening but, moisturizing. It doesn't dry my nails and cuticles out. My nails were peeling and weak from gel and I used one coat as a base and one as a top and by the time I took it off a few days later but, nails were pretty and hard again. It's good stuff and worth a try.
Eta: Forgot to add the color I got. It's more of a brown with copper sparkles. It's so nice. link to polish : superstar

Re: Deborah Lippmann nail polish
I ordered DL polishes. I just received Mermaid's Kiss and I am not sure whether to keep it. It's pink with gold glitter and some red specks. I have an OPI color that is similar to the pink and I have a top coat to make the gold sparkles. I feel like I can achieve a similar look really easily. No it will not be the same and I know in the past if I liked a look I wanted the exact look from the original brand. Should I exchange it for something else? My husband says not to even bother to bring it back for $20 bc I use so many shades of pink. I say there are so many other DL polishes that don't look like anything I have.
