Debris was found from the Missing Air France Plane...
I just can't stop thinking about what those poor people went through.
What I don't get is how did the plane not have radar yet people were able to send a text?

I didn't see that either - I just heard that there wasn't enough time for a mayday - all of the distress messages were automated.

Radar is on the ground, it only covers so much territory.
Flights crossing the ocean use the radio to communicate their location.
