Deciding after closing you do not want to escrow your taxes...
At this time only our school taxes are in escrow with our mortgage co., not our property taxes...they screwed that up apparently. We decided we dont want to escrow our school taxes any longer...we want to pay them on our own. What is the process for doing this? I know I need to contact the town and the mortgage co., but who should I call first? Are there forms or anything I need to complete? I would just like to know so I have an idea since every time you speak to a different person at these places they tell you something different

Call them up and tell them and I would follow up with something in writing to them and ask them for the same in return.
Good luck!
