Deck railings
Can you buy deck railings that are already made?
Our back deck is about 5 ft off the ground and it doesn't have any spindles, it just has one piece of wood across it which is really dangerous with the kids...

yes, both Lowes and HD have sections of deck railing already made.
We went to HD first - they had pvc pre-made sections. Then we went to Lowes and got wood pre-made sections. All we needed was the sections and posts.
It was really easy so my DH said.
I'll have photos to post later!!!!

Lowes had it in stock - we got it about 2 weeks ago
here's a picture of what was the deck railing when we purchased the house - a make shift picket fence that was soooo not safe Image Attachment(s):

yes, we powerwashed the whole deck and just finished staining it. Thats why we wanted wood deck railing over PVC to be able to stain the railing, so it matched
