Decorating-Anyone NOT good at it?
We have a few updates to make and our one bath is 1/2 done and I need to decide on some paint.
Ok, then there is another bath, bedrooms, a dining room, etc. and I dread it because IM SO not good at it!!  
How did you do it? Your ideas??

I looked in pottery barn/magazines and tried to get color combos....I found TONS of stuff in home goods. I would purchase stuff...and look at it for a couple of days before I asked my dh to put it on the wall. That definitly helped

HGTV!! I watch it constantly...especially Designed to Sell at 8pm (ch 30). I got all my ideas from that show. I go on the website afterwards and look at all the items and where they got them. It's perfect for me because I don't have a huge budget. In fact, I'm in love with a comforter set from Wal Mart!

I kind of just look at the color chart pick the one I like and HOPE it looks good in the room

I get ideas from magazines, HGTV or just something that I use as an inspiration piece. Are you starting from scratch or do you have some furniture/things to work with?

I totally agree with this! I watch HGTV all the time and I get a ton of ideas from them.

I get ideas from going to friend/family houses. I also look in magazines. I feel like my house has no "style" bc I don't know what I want it to be!!!!

Me... not so good!!!
I mostly love PB stuff so i get ideas from their catalog. With paint colors, well... that was trial and error. We must have had 8 sample colors on the walls before deciding on a color!!!

Me, I see things I like or rooms in a magazine but then I can't decide on things or put it together - its tough to do. Just take your time.

def HGTV. Luckily I love the whole tuscan theme. I love wrough iron, red, tans and sage green. I always have.
HGTV has so many great ideas. I also check out the pottery barn website for ideas but then look around for cheaper prices!!

It took a little getting used to but I found that after time everything started to flow...the basic idea is to pick a style for your house...country, contemporary, modern, etc... and go from there!!! (Mine is country / antiqueish) I always loved that style
