Decorating savy people..small space, no money! help!!
I want to make the small bedroom on the first floor a play room for my daughter. Its not big at all, especially because my dresser and armoire are in there but I want to make it a cute space for her to play.
I want to do it as fast and as cheap as possible but I want it to look decent.
I know what paint I am using and the color..but I need to put down a floor. What would you recommend? I was leaning towards wood but cant do something expensive. Also, I would LOVE to do shelving around the perimeter of the room for her stuffed animals. Anyone know where I can get that cheap?
Any more ideas? I just want it to look cozy and nice for her but adult like as well if I have someone staying over. Thanks so much!

Instead of wood, use a wood laminate. Check out your local HD or Lowes and buy what's on sale. For the shelfing, try Ikea. Tons of options and really cheap.

I've seen laminate flooring at BJ's and National Wholesale Liquidators for cheap. You could put that down and then a cute area rug.
As for shelves, try K-Mart and Target. They may have shelves on sale and you can stock up.

Lumber Liquidators has great prices per square foot for laminate flooring. And maybe instead of shelves you could buy one or two small bookcases for your childs toys and you could put those cute baskets in them.
