Deep sleep

Everyone said that I would hear the baby cry at night but sometimes I am in such a deep sleep, I don't hear DS!! I am staying with my mom this week so she takes him but I feel horrible!! I feel like he could be crying for like 10 minutes before I hear him!! Please tell me I am not a bad mother!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Deep sleep

you are not a bad mother!! i have done that before if i am really tired. do you have a monitor?

even if your DS is crying, he is safe in his crib, so it's not the worst thing if you don't ehar him right away Chat Icon

you are an exhausted new mommy - don't beat yourself up!! i am SURE he is not crying for 10 minutes before you hear him. i am willing to bet he is just fussing before that - and if you are really tired you won't hear him just fuss all the time.

this has happened to me - DS was in the bassinet next to me for the first 5 weeks and there were times when DH got up from the other side of the room to get the baby before i woke up Chat Icon
