Defensive Driving
Has anyone ever taken Defensive Driving through the internet? I see them advertised but I didn't know how valid it is.

Geico doesn't accept it. Check with your insurance carrier.

Re: Defensive Driving
Most insurance companies don't accept that, especially in New York state. The class ones aren't too bad, I took a six hour one the other day, and was there for two hours...

If you live in NYS, they don't accept it.

Re: Defensive Driving
I've always taken my DD classes through this group. The class isn't bad at all. You'd be surprised what you learn that you didn't know (like it is legal in some instances in NY to make a left on red)!!
Defensive Driving
ETA: I went to the class, I did not take it online.

I took a course recently, and the instructor said he had to keep us for the full 6 hours. A lot of classes are being audited, and instructors who aren't following the rules get discredited, and anyone who took the class through them lost their certification.... He mentioned a few places that it happened to. I'd be hesitant to take a short-cut class.

Same here - I took it last weekend and had to stay the full 6 hours...

Re: Defensive Driving
I went to the CSEA defensive driving class this past Saturday in Merrick. We were in and out so that was great. My Mom is a member so we only paid $25 each. Non-members pay only $35.
