I don't think it was necessary, but I don't think it was strange either. A lot of people call any number that's a missed call on their phone just to see who was calling, and he was giving you a heads up that there was no need to do so.

Maybe I am naive, but I would chalk it up to - he still has your number in his phone, he accidentally dialed it, he knew you'd see his number called, and he texted to make sure you didn't think he was up to something shady. He probably didn't realize his number wasn't in your phone anymore...

Agreed. My phone actually dials people accidentally all the time. if it dialed my ex I would definitely send a text explaining that the call was accidental just so they wouldn't call me back!

I don't think it is wierd bc if he called you by accident maybe he just wanted to let you know so you didn't think he was trying to call...

i agree w/ pp's, prob just an accident and he didn't want you to have to call him back, or think he was drunk dialing heehee. what i do find funny is why he still has your number in his phone? i don't have my ex's in my phone. i did when i kept in touch w/ them, but not after we lost touch.

I agree with everyone else- I don't think it's strange at all. I would text too if I accidentally called someone who I really didn't mean or want to call. Just ignore it.

1) don't care to have his number (since you asked who it is)
2) don't care or need to talk to him (since you didn't respond back to him after his name)
I would just let it go. There is a reason he is your EX

I don't think its shady at all. I've called people by mistake and there was nothing suspcious about it when I did it.
Why is that fact that he just got married shady? What does that have to do with anything? Just wondering if there's more to the story, otherwise I wouldn't have given it a second thought.
