Delviery question of twins

Right now twin A is head down and twin B is breach. I stil have time for B to flip but my doc can and has previously delivered many sets of twin in this position - would you use to deliver vagainal or would you just have a c-section

My plan is to deliver naturally but they have both been head down since i was 18 weeks (really early)
If one of them was breeched I think I would be really scared to deliver naturally. I don't think my doc would take the chance either.

i would have a c/s if they were not both head down. too risky for me. i know it has worked out well for a lot of people but the idea of having one vaginally and then a c/s is too much for me!!!

i would do csection bc they can do one vaginally and then if the other doesnt turn they can have to do emergency c section anyway. not worth the chance

I am 34 weeks 5days right now.
Both babies were head down until 26 weeks when baby B went breech. I was agonizing over the same thing you are now. The Dr was more than willing to do a breech delivery if I was up to it and he said baby B will go head down often after baby A comes out. I also asked the opinion of the nurse practitioner and her response was that recovering from a c-section is hard enough with 1 baby so with twins it would be harder to get around. She said if it were here she would do everything she could to avoid the c-section if at all possible. I decided to let things go and take it as it comes. Turns out Baby B turned head down 2 weeks ago when at 32 weeks! Now I have to deal with onset of high bp and possible preeclampsia which may result in a c-section after all.
What I'm saying is there are so many variables that circumstances will lead you to the right decision. IMHO, I think I would try a vaginal delivery even if baby B goes breech again. I may be crazy, but I would be willing to risk the emergency c-section in hopes that B turns head down after A comes out. Like I said, I may be crazy.....

thank you everyone - i had such an easy vaginal delivery with my first that i am scared to have a C-section unless necessary - i am leaning toward trying vaginal and if i have to have C then at least i felt liked i tried everything i could to avoid a C

Both were head down around 32 weeks and stayed that way until I pushed them out vaginally at 37 wks 2 days. I have nothing to compare it to, but, I really didn;t think it was so bad. . I pushed for about 1 hr with baby a and baby b came out an hour and half later.
My dr said the same thing- that if baby a was head down and the other baby wasn't that I should still try vaginally- I would have done that.

i just had twins 2 months ago and i have a 2 and half year old girl.... my first i did natural birth, the twins were c sections and ill just say... id rather give birth to 6 kids vaginally then have a c section, its not terrible dont be scared, just its a pain in the you know what theres a lot more that goes with it as vaginal its just... DONE

I delivered my twins vaginally. Baby A was head down and baby B was breach. I was determined to deliver vaginal I was petrified to have a c-section. They are 18 minutes apart.

I posted the exact same question about 9 months ago because my twins were in the same position and my doctor has delivered via breech extraction many times. Everyone here said that it was too risky, so I decided to tell my doctor that I would go ahead with the c-section.
However, my baby girl had different plans! On the morning of the scheduled surgery, they did one final ultrasound and she was head down! So, I had an induction. I pushed for three hours with DS (baby A) because his shoulder got stuck. Of course, once he came out, DD (baby B) had flipped back breech. At that point, I couldn't even imagine a c-section (though, I was in the OR with a whole surgical team standing around the perimeter of the room!). So, I said "is she in a good position where you can reach her?" my doctor said, "yup", so I said "pull her out!".

It worked out great for me because I got to experience a vaginal birth and was walking around and feeling great the very next day. I was so nervous about coming home with twins and not being able to lift them or do a lot.
Two things that made me feel confident about my decision were, 1. my doctor's experience in breech extractions and 2. baby B was quite a bit smaller than A (A=6lbs 4oz and B=4lbs 12oz), so I was pretty certain B wouldn't get stuck or anything like that. Breech extractions are SUPER risky for a singleton because they neck could get stuck and the baby could get strangled. But, when the birth canal is already opened up from the first baby, there is a lower risk.

Anyway, all of that being said, it is your decision. I would really talk it over with your doctor before you decide. Plus, you never know what will happen that day! A lot of times, all plans go out the window

I would still attempt to go vaginally only because my Dr's told me that many times Baby B will flip with the room they get after A comes out, and they are experienced with delivering breech in a case like that. They made me feel comfortable with that decision. At this time (almost 36 weeks) both babies are head down for me and very low so I will definitely do a vaginal birth. It could be any day now. I'm scared to push out two babies, but I'm even more scared of a C-section since I have only had a vaginal birth before.

No matter what happens it will be the right choice for you!
